Having turned up at Garsington with a very enthusiastic 9, (doesn’t bowed well when one player gets stuck in London and the other loses his car keys so cant get to the ground) we thought what else could go wrong..?!

Well, I hear you ask, that ‘WORST’ happened… we decided that only having 9 wasn’t enough of a start for them, a batting collapse was more fun. I myself was most guilty contributing a well played 0.

Only Barry “lion king, Simba, oh crap look at the Lion at Chessington Zoo with no Maine” Martin offering a fight, top scoring on 18. So, with tea came a welcome relief, Ryan and myself offering more fight in our can you get a whole doughnut in your mouth contest, it was a close run thing. I think Ryan’s laughing meant I maybe won?

Anyway back to it, some inspiring words and back out to the hurricane that was blowing atop Garsington field, the aim was to take wickets and restore a little pride. We took 3 wickets before they knocked off what to be honest was a poor target set by us, hopefully that’s our blip over. Ryan took 2 quick wickets and overall bowled extremely well in a short sharp period as did both Chaz and Barry. We can only hope that our bowling attack has put a few thoughts in their minds for the home leg. Overall a poor day with 9 men, but another game of cricket played in the correct manner. Onwards and forwards, personally Julie’s tea has got me excited already for the coming Saturday.

Home to Stonesfield. Back on track boys!!
